Telecoms giant Etisalat has struck an agreement with business-to-business online marketplace outfit Tejari. The deal will see Tejari offer Etisalat’s BusinessOne broadband package to its customer base.
Telecoms giant Etisalat has struck an agreement with business-to-business online marketplace outfit Tejari. The deal will see Tejari offer Etisalat’s BusinessOne broadband package to its target customer base.
The two companies envisage that the tie-up will allow them to offer a comprehensive broadband package coupled with hosting services to the growing number of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the UAE.
Ahmed Abdulkarim Julfar, COO at Etisalat, said: “The agreement with Tejari will be a winning partnership for Etisalat given the increased opportunities in the economy today and the scope for enhancing business practices and processes through high speed broadband with its visible impact on improving productivity and customer service which is critical in the competitive market that exists today.”
Omar Hijazi, CEO at Tejari, added: “The synergy between Tejari and Etisalat is undeniable. This match-up will accelerate internet penetration and e-commerce adoption for UAE SMEs. Doing business over the internet is simply a must in today’s competitive environment; with Etisalat’s BusinessOne connection and Tejari’s electronic marketplace, we have pulled together an easy solution that UAE SMEs can quickly take up and put e-business into action.”
Etisalat’s BusinessOne service is aimed at companies requiring e-mail, internet access and a web presence. The scalable solution is available in six different packages starting from a 512kb single user package through to a 4mb multi-user package. Customers can also set up their own domain name with their business website hosted by Etisalat.
