Arabian Business KSA Conference: Navigating the road to 2030

Saudi Arabia’s role as a regional leader and hub for industry under the microscope

Saudi Arabia has been on a meteoric rise in recent years, with the kingdom’s ambitious Vision 2030 agenda moving the country towards a more prosperous future.

Earlier this year, the IMF projected Saudi Arabia’s economy to grow at 7.6 percent this year – the highest growth rate among world economies for 2022, but challenges still remain.

A diverse group of C-level executives and government officials will convene on Tuesday November 8 at the Crowne Plaza in Riyadh to help address these issues.

First on the stage, a keynote will be presented by the President of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) Dr Abdullah Bin Sharaf Al Ghamdi.

Tackling the issue of the road to 2030, Oweis Zahran, CEO of OWS Auto; Ali Al Shihabi, NEOM advisor and Saudi commentator, Abdullah Alsuweilmy, senior strategic advisor, KSA; and Dr. Mike Cheetham, global business director, Hotpack Global will take to the stage.

Following on from this discussion, Daniel MacGregor, Corporate Development Director, Serco Middle East; Spencer Wylie, Compass; and Abdullah Al Alshaikh, Riyadh Bank, SVP/Corporate Finance, will come together to examine how Saudi Arabia’s giga-projects are supercharging the kingdom’s future growth.

Following a coffee break, the question of inclusive growth will be addressed. Saudi women are already entering the workforce at record levels and helping the kingdom achieve its economic ambitions. Adwa AlArifi, Deputy Minister of Planning & Development at the Ministry of Sports; and Ranya Al Houthali, Director of International Partnerships at NILDLP will help unpack this subject.

Finally, the conversation will turn to Saudi Arabia’s startup sector, with the new business-friendly rules helping the kingdom become a hub a hub for innovation under the spotlight. Ziad Banna, CEO, ERP Data Systems; Abdulaziz Saja, KSA General Manager, Tabby; and Emir Isik, Head of Business Development of Tarabut Gateway, will dive into this topic in more detail, examining where the opportunities are for incumbent corporates in the start-up sector and how are entrepreneurs can benefit.
