Eye on spyware

Trend Micro has released there versions of its new spyware solution, each catering to different market segments. The products leverage its recent acquisition of spyware specialist InterMute and are engineered to provide accurate, real-time detection and removal of spyware and grayware.

Trend Micro has released there versions of its new spyware solution, each catering to different market segments. The products leverage its recent acquisition of spyware specialist InterMute and are engineered to provide accurate, real-time detection and removal of spyware and grayware.

The new solutions are Trend Micro Anti-Spyware 3.0, which is designed for the small office/home office environment, Trend Micro Anti-Spyware for Small and Medium Businesses 3.0 and Trend Micro Anti-Spyware Enterprise Edition 3.0.

The solutions are designed to operate alongside various antivirus and security software, these solutions can be used alone or as part of a layered defense strategy at multiple points in the network.

“As promised, Trend Micro has executed quickly following our recent acquisition of InterMute, continuing our momentum around providing customers with top-quality solutions against spyware,” says Eva Chen, CEO of Trend Micro.

“These three solutions provide the superior technology, global expertise and timely support that customers have come to expect from a pioneer in the security field. With Trend Micro, customers can get anti-spyware protection that easily complements their antivirus solutions, providing opportunities to adopt integrated security solutions now and in the future,” she explains.

While offering many of the same features, the Enterprise Edition is designed to meet the demands of larger, more complex organisations. To this end, it features greater administrative flexibility and reporting.
