Does your website lack a strong online presence? Do you feel bad e-karma or negative ch’i may be to blame?
Don’t fret - you can now kiss your bad web vibes goodbye with the help of a new book called Web Vaastu written by Indian-born Dr. Smita Narang, which shows how the ancient philosophies of Vaastu Shastra and Chinese Feng Shui can “create harmony between nature’s five elements” and bring a positive ch’i flow to your online presence.
“Just as the world comprises five basic elements, each website has five elements and these need to be in balance with one another,” explained Narang on Reuters.com.
“Earth is the layout, fire is the colour, air is the HTML, space is name of the website, and water is the font and graphics.”
The aim is - as any of you who’ve ever spent the day moving plants and mirrors around to improve the flow of good vibes will know - to strike a harmonious balance between these five elements.
“A website where the colours hurt your eyes, the music offends your ears, or has too much information, is probably too cluttered and does not give a positive flow of ch’i,” added Mumbai-based Narang.
According to ABCnet.com, Indiamart is one firm that has rebalanced five corporate sites according to Vaastu principles.
“We’ve found that on three sites the number of hits has grown by 60% but the other two have not been affected, stated Indiamart’s Brijesh Agarwal.
“I can’t say that the positive results are due to Vaastu or more marketing, but I hope that Vaastu has helped.”
