First 4D simulator in Middle East launched

XD Theatre at Magic Planet is also one of the first 4D simulators in the world

Visitors in the UAE can experience the first 4D simulator in the Middle East at the Magic Planet XD Theatre.

The virtual reality experience combines movable seats, a high-end resolution screen and projector, and external wind effects to generate a four dimensional experience.

“This is the first 4D theatre of its kind in the Middle East and one of the first around the world,” commented Silvio Leidtke, GM of Magic Planet.

Most motion cinemas allow visitors to experience the equivalent of 1g of force during simulation, but the XD Theatre uses patented technology to provide an impressive 2g force.

The system is fitted with three different films, each lasting 6 minutes that visitors can experience. There are plans to include more films in the coming months.

Development of the site and installation of the 4D system took just one week to complete, revealed Leidtke.
