Dubai airline says it has now contacted every family member of 62 people who lost their lives in accident
Flydubai has released the names of those who lost their lives due to the downing of one of its aircraft on Saturday morning.
The airline confirmed that 62 people had died following the accident, which occurred when flight FZ981 crash landed at Rostov-on-Don airport in southern Russia.
Flydubai said it had waited to release the names until it had contacted each family member.
“flydubai would like to express once again its deepest sympathies to all those who have lost loved ones in this terrible tragedy,” airline CEO Ghaith Al Ghaith said, in a press statement. The families of all those who have been affected by flight FZ981 remain our top priority. We would also like to express our gratitude for the work of the Russian officials, local authorities, emergency services and volunteers in difficult conditions in the aftermath of the accident and we continue to offer our support to them.”
The airline has opened a family assistance centre in Rostov-on-Don to provide support and information to bereaved families.
