Fog and mist was reported across many parts of the UAE on Wednesday morning, with the National Center of Meteorology & Seismology (NCMS) expecting similar conditions on Thursday morning.

Fog was reported over Al Maktoum Airport, Abu Dhabi International Airport, Sweiehan, Liwa and Ras Al Khaimah.

In a tweet, the NCMS said: “It will be fair to partly cloudy with light to moderate winds. Relative humidity is likely to increase during night and tomorrow early morning over the coastal and the internal areas with the chance of fog/mist over scattered areas.

The Met Department has predicted light showers in the internal and coastal areas of the UAE on Thursday morning.

The wet weather conditions in the country led to several road accidents in the past weeks, with the authorities issuing warnings to drive safely.
