Jackson died at his rented Los Angeles mansion on June 25 after suffering cardiac arrest. Official autopsy results are pending toxicology tests, but rampant speculation has centered on Jackson's use of prescription drugs, newswire Reuters reported.
According to the
www.ibnlivewebsite, the Los Angeles Police Department is treating Jackson's death as homicide.
"Celebrity news website TMZ.com citing 'multiple law enforcement sources' said evidence points to Propofol, an anesthesia, as the primary cause of the pop star's death. Vials of Propofol were found in Jackson's home after he died," the website said.
"The law enforcement sources said there is "plenty of powerful evidence" linking doctor Conrad Murray as the person who gave Propofol to Jackson."
