Forefront grabs Plasmon distribution rights

Forefront has bagged the distribution rights for storage vendor Plasmon’s range of ultra density optical (UDO) drives, media and libraries.

Forefront has bagged the distribution rights for storage vendor Plasmon’s range of ultra density optical (UDO) drives, media and libraries for secure data archives. UAE based Forefront, which specialises in storage and document imaging and management distribution, is the second distributor of Plasmon in the Middle East, covering the Levant, the Gulf and North Africa.

“In our effort to further our commitment to the fast growing Middle East region, it was important to partner with a trusted and well established distributor that has a thorough understanding of the industry and the local market channels, alongside a strong customer base and impressive achievement record. We are pleased to partner with Forefront Technologies to achieve our goal of distributing and successfully positioning Plasmon in the region,” said Dr Stefano Torri, director Southern Europe and Middle East at Plasmon.

Plasmon develops and manufactures UDO, offering a range of libraries, drives and media for enterprises. The company is headquartered in England and has a strong presence across Europe and North America. Forefront says that the addition of Plasmon will help it to strengthen its market position.

“Over the years, we have succeeded in establishing a strong market presence and have developed a strong reseller base, with an acknowledged reference in the document imaging and storage industry’s systems and solutions. Our partnership with Plasmon will help us strengthen our strategy and provide our reseller network with a comprehensive range of storage products,” said George Karam, managing director at Forefront Technologies.

Plasmon products are also distributed by Dicom in the Middle East.
