Free Jiu-Jitsu demonstrations for children in Abu Dhabi

All eyes will be on the IPIC Arena in April as the world’s elite returns for the 9th annual Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship.

The event, which takes place from 10 to 23 April and is held under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, will see more than 7,000 local and international athletes take to the mats. Prize funds to be awarded this year total AED3 million.

As part of the event, the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation will be holding free to attend community demonstrations throughout the capital giving children the opportunity to try out Jiu-Jitsu first hand.

As part of the workshops children will learn the basic skills of Jiu-Jitsu and learn about its values, including self-confidence and sportsmanship.

Workshop Dates:

Mother of the Nation Festival, Abu Dhabi Corniche - 26th March – 4th April from 16:30 – 19:00.

Ripe Market, Umm Al Emarat Park, Abu Dhabi. 25th March from 17:00 – 20:00.
