French luxury retailer, Galeries Lafayette, has launched a shoe concept in its Dubai Mall store.
Shoe Box, which is set to open this March, will be 500 square metres large and will act as a replacement for the current shoe section on the shop’s ground floor.
It will be moved up to the first floor and will include the addition of more luxury brands and regional designers.
The firm’s General Manager, Pascal Abchee, told Arabian Business that Shoe Box is part of a full refurbishment process for the store.
The shoe area will have a new design with modern interior, interactive corners, and a sneaker-dedicated area amongst other features.
According to Abchee, shoes make up an important market for the firm. While the Dubai Mall store’s total growth slowed down in 2015, its shoe sector saw an increase.
Lafayette will also launch its sister brand, LE BHV/MARAIS in City Walk 2 this September. It will be 6,000 square metres. For all the latest fashion trends from the UAE and Gulf countries, follow us on Twitter and Linkedin, like us on Facebook and subscribe to our YouTube page, which is updated daily.
