Fujitsu Siemens has slimmed down its Lifebook series with the introduction its B-2563 offering. Weighing in at just 1.3kg, the machine is designed for users that desire “excellence in mobility and connectivity.”
Fujitsu Siemens Computers has slimmed down its Lifebook series with the introduction its B-2563 offering. Weighing in at just 1.3kg, the machine is designed for users that desire “excellence in mobility and connectivity,” says the vendor. In addition to being ‘stylish and elegant,’ the machine boasts a 10.4-inch TFT-XGA-display with a low reflection TouchScreen display for optimal cursor control, which is intended for use with a built-in stylus.“Global digital networking has transformed the way that we do business. Flexibility and mobility are key words in today’s corporate world,” says Jacquie Carson, sales & marketing director, Fujitsu Siemens. “The Lifebook B-2562 is a notebook made for travel and mobile work combining lowest weight, smallest size and ease of use due to its TouchScreen facility. Targeted at corporate accounts as well as small and medium-sized accounts, the ultra-portable Lifebook B Series, is a compulsory purchase for buyers with an eye for luxury and high brand awareness,” she adds.Powered by Intel’s Mobile Pentium III 700 M/hertz ultra low voltage processor, the machine features enhanced SpeedStep technology, which enables real-time dynamic switching of the voltage and frequency between peak and battery optimised modes on user needs. In addition, dynamic power management mode ensures a longer battery life. Physical security is covered by a Kensington MicroSaver, a 1.8 meter long, lockable, galvanized steel cable, while the B Series sports a security panel, which requires the user to enter a PIN when the system is switched on. Smartcard protection also comes as standard. Connectivity is ensured with through two USB Ports, a built-in 56 K/bytes/p/s V.90 modem and 10/100 M/bytes/s LAN.
