PC vendor Fujitsu Siemens has signed UAE-based Memory Technology Corporation (MTC) to distribute its product portfolio. The partnership will roll out in the UAE where MTC will carry the vendor’s notebook, desktop and server lines.

Stephane Rejasse, Middle East managing director at Fujitsu Siemens Computers said: “This deal represents yet another solid partnership for Fujitsu Siemens Computers and the need to expand our channel reflects the tremendous growth we have witnessed in recent years. We see this as the right time to extend our breadth and bandwidth within the channel.”

He added: “MTC is a well-known regional distributor for IT components such as desktops, notebooks and high-end monitors. Through this partnership, we will gain a new edge to our distribution strategy and access through this new channel for our clients that are not yet aware of all the benefits we bring to the IT market. Though distribution of servers is a new business field for MTC, we look forward to jointly increasing and further developing our business in this area as well.”

Houssam Mobiad, CEO at MTC was equally enthusiastic about the partnership: “MTC has carved a niche for itself in the field of marketing IT components in the MENA region. Adding a prestigious brand like Fujitsu Siemens Computers to our fold is a matter of great significance to us. We are confident we can increase the Fujitsu Siemens Computers product sales, as it already enjoys a strong reputation in the market.”

The agreement follows news last month that Fujitsu is expanding its base in Saudi Arabia in a bid to strengthen its presence the Middle Eastern market.
