Mostafa Kabbany: Bringing the Coniano app worldwide
Mostafa Kabbany

Mostafa Kabbany is an Egyptian entrepreneur who started the app Coniano in 2017 in Egypt and this year in Argentina.

Coniano is an app where you can answer questions and redeem points in many sectors like F&B, entertainment, automotive and other sectors.

He plans to launch the app soon in Dubai.

How do you describe yourself?
I am passionate about my work. Because I love what I do, I have a steady source of motivation. That drives me to do my best. I also seek to be always ambitious and driven. I thrive on challenge and constantly set goals for myself, so I have something to strive towards.

To do the job properly and efficiently, things should be done differently and that is my theory.

I learn from others, and so I consider myself to be a people person. I love meeting new people and learning about their lives and their backgrounds. I can almost always find common ground with strangers, and I like making people feel comfortable in my presence. I pride myself on making sure people have the right information because it drives better results.

I also consider history to be the leader of our presence and future. I seek to know more about the history of our world and how in the old days they managed life.

What do you enjoy most about working at your own company?
As the founder of Coniano, the most interesting aspect is that I am in a non-routine atmosphere, because every day we have a new topic to discuss and a new challenge to overcome. Everyone at Coniano, we share the same vision and we are dedicated to the mission. This truly creates a family environment where everybody is there for each other.

I love the challenge of coming in every day and trying to figure out how I am going to get more people around to know more about Coniano, thus one of my enjoyments is to expand my brand to be worldwide.

What are your expansion plans?
As mentioned, my main challenge to be there out in the world. We are already present in the region and Latin America, however we have a plan to mark our presence in India in particular and Asia in general. Currently I am aiming to grow my users to 10 million by the end of 2022.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Coniano. As a founder of Coniano, I always look up to it as an achievement. I always look for new achievements such as raising more awareness in a memorable way such as using fun aspects in order to stay at the top of the users’ minds.

I see people from different countries and backgrounds using the application, playing, enjoying, redeeming and winning. That by itself is an achievement! I look at their feedback on the social media and their comments makes me thrilled that I’m going on the right path.

Describe the decision-making process?
First thing I look at my timeframe. I prefer to accomplish more while I still have the energy and determination. A major part of my decision-making process is my team. I believe that brainstorming in a team, which is more productive and creative. They might have a vision or an idea that I did not notice and that helps not only me, but the company to grow bigger and in a stable manner.

What is your productivity secret?
Passion is the secret of life. Passion gets me to be self-motivated and have the will to continue what I started. I keep in mind that Coniano should be at the top in the market and I am doing my best to achieve this goal with all what it takes.
