Gadget of the week: HTC Touch Cruise
It is the first mobile phone with HTC Footprints – an application that enables people to chronicle experiences by capturing a digital postcard on their phone. Locations are identified by specific GPS coordinates.
The HTC phone is also an advanced in-car navigation system and fits right into the accompanying car cradle. This transforms the phone’s user interface into the one-touch NaviPanel app that provides turn-by-turn directions.
The phone’s 2.8-inch touchscreen displays images taken from its 3.2 megapixel camera well. Internal memory can be expanded with microSD memory cards to pack in more multimedia.
HTC’s latest, which is available later this month in the UAE, costs approximately $654 (AED 2,399).
