In Photos: Iran ski resort reflects mountain landscape
RYRA studio has designed a ski resort in Iran which blends into its snowy setting

The architecture resembles an iced-rock formation that appears to be windswept onto the mountainside

The 10 storey building contains 67 private rooms, varying in size from studio flats to a penthouse. It also has a “cave-like” feel to it – ensuring a warm and comfortable ambiance after a day of skiing

The design of the accommodation is influenced by the exterior to form curving dome-shaped rooms. The continuation of this design approach is continued in the communal spaces and corridors, which also have organic style shapes

As a finishing touch pebble shaped windows offer unobstructed views of the surrounding mountain range

The slopes are lie at an altitude of 2,550m to 3,050m above sea level. The resort includes two main slopes each with a chair lift
