Tests are being conducted in a sector extending 11km from from Ibn Battuta Station to Jafza Station, powered by a direct electrical current of 750v enabling trains to run at a maximum speed of 90km/h on the test track. (ITP Images)
Trains are undergoing full tests to monitor noise, wobbling and early troubleshooting. The first “static test” phase will test a stationary train’s communications and signaling systems, power supplies, air-conditioning, on-board electronics and lighting. (ITP Images)
Dubai Metro is the world’s first driverless metro system, constructed over 75km at a cost of 15 billion dirhams ($4.1 billion). The system will include two lines, with the Red Line consisting of 52km and 29 stations, and the Green Line serving 18 stations over 23km. (ITP Images)
