As the news of the death of Soraya Salti, president and CEO, Injaz Al Arab, spread on social media on Saturday condolences poured in from around the world.

Salti was the chair of the 2011 World Economic Forum Action Group on entrepreneurship.

Under her leadership, INJAZ has offered entrepreneurship trainings to over 2 million students, and now works in Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates, Yemen and Pakistan.

Soraya Salti was also recognised by President Barack Obama in his opening speech at the Presidential Summit on Entrepreneurship held in Washington D.C. Together they represent the great potential and expectations of young people around the world.
