Lifestyle choice: Arab youth speak out
From their choice of news to social media, poll reveals key issues affecting young Arabs today

According to the third Annual ASDA’A Burson-Marsteller Arab Youth Survey, there has been a dramatic rise in social networking among the region’s youth. It is up from 32% to 60% and the number of those reading blogs were up from 5% to 18%

Parents (83%) have strongest influence over Arab youth, the Survey revealed – compared to pop stars (25%), politicians (28%) or business leaders (30%)

There is an increasing positivity among the Arab youth towards UK (41%, up from 25%) and US (36%, up from 28%)

36% of non-GCC youth have no interest in travelling abroad, compared to 1% of GCC youth
