BSkyB’s first foreign language news channel hires a mix of well-known faces and new talent

Amr Abdelhamid, news presenternnAmr Abdelhamid began his journalism career as a correspondent for BBC Arabic radio in Moscow in 1998. Fadila Souissi, news presenternnPrior to joining Sky News Arabia, Fadila Souissi hosted Mouthir Lili Jadal, a socio-political weekly show and Al Madar, a daily news show, both screened on Abu Dhabi TV.

Yusuf Serif, news presenternnYusuf Serif started his career in journalism in 1997 as a TV reporter in Istanbul for WTN. He has worked at Abu Dhabi TV, the French-language Radio Monte Carlo, Al Jazeera and Al Arabiya.

Rita Malouf, news presenternnRita Malouf started her career at just 19-years old working as an editor for the Syria News website. From there Malouf worked at Sham TV as a news presenter and journalist. Her latest role was at France 24 TV as news editor, presenter and journalist.

Faisal Bin Huraiz, news presenternnUAE national Faisal Bin Huraiz helped launch the news centre at Abu Dhabi Radio where he worked as a presenter and reporter and later as news bulletin editor. Huraiz then moved from radio to TV to work at Abu Dhabi TV as a news presenter hosting Uloom Al Dar.

Nada Al-Shaibani, sports presenternnPrior to joining Sky News Arabia, Nada Al-Shaibani was the sports news presenter and programme anchor at Al-Kass Sports channel. She has covered a number of important regional sports events including the 2009 Gulf Cup in Oman.
