Dubai: Atlantis Asateer Tent at Atlantis The Palm is collating the best dishes from two of the hotel’s most popular restaurants: Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen and Giorgio Locatelli’s Ronda Locatelli. So, expect a mixture of British classics such as beef Wellington and Italian pastas and risottos alongside the more familiar local favourites. AED220 per person.

2. Abu Dhabi: There’s only one place to head in the capital if you’re seeking an opulent setting to break fast with friends, family or colleagues. Emirates Palace’s Ramadan Pavilion, which at 60m by 40m is the city's largest, offers a stunning beachside setting with ocean views on one side and the grandeur of the palace on the other. Iftar is priced at AED320 per person.

3. Ras Al Khaimah: Al Marjan Ramadan Tent is a joint initiative between Al Marjan Island and the Ras Al Khaimah Tourist Authority and is being catered by Ritz-Carlton property Al Wadi Desert. It is located on the shoreline looking out to the lights of Marjan Island and will offer both buffet and à la carte options. The iftar package starts from AED150 per person plus service charges.

4. Sharjah: The Sheraton Sharjah Beach Resort & Spa is debuting its glass-walled beachside Ramadan tent this year, which will be full of cuisine from around the Arab and Muslim world, including Emirati, Indian, Lebanese, Egyptian, Jordanian and Moroccan dishes, with the likes of foul, falafel, shawarma, saj and local harees stations. It costs AED145 per person.

5. Ajman: The Kahraman Tent in Al Zorah on the Ajman waterfront returns for 2018. The 300-capacity space blends traditional arabesque interiors with contemporary styling for an immaculate Ramadan experience. There is an array of regional cuisines and entertainment, with VIP areas available subject to availability. The iftar buffet is priced AED135 per person.
