Celebrity chef will launch new steakhouse 'with a twist' at Taste of Dubai festival.
Celebrity chef Gary Rhodes will launch his new Dubai restaurant – Rhodes Twenty10 – at the Taste of Dubai festival opening Wednesday.
It is the UK chef’s second Dubai-based eatery after Rhodes Mezzanine, and will be a steakhouse “with a new twist”, he told Arabian Business’ sister publication Caterer Middle East.
Watch a video of Rhodes talking about his new venture at Le Royal Méridien below.
“I never imagined that one day we’d have a restaurant here in the Middle East — now to be opening our second is just so exciting,” he told the magazine.
“The site at Le Royal Méridien used to be Prime Rib restaurant, and we’re not trying to be so much different, but rather recreate that style of Prime Rib with a new twist.
“So many restaurants you go to, whether they be steakhouses, rib rooms or whatever, stipulate ‘this steak comes with this sauce, that potato, these vegetables, and that’s it’.
“But we’re making sure with our menu that you choose absolutely everything, even down to salads and what vinaigrettes and dressings they come with,” he said.
Taste of Dubai runs from March 17-20 at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre and Park.
