Investment company Western Gulf Advisory said on Wednesday it was in early negotiations to buy Premier League soccer team Blackburn Rovers.
The Bahrain and Switzerland-based company is speaking with investment bank Rothschilds, which is advising the 1995 English champion on the sale.
“We are at an early stage but we hope to complete that deal soon,” Julia Thiem, public relations manager at Western Gulf Advisory, said in a telephone interview.
Blackburn spokesman Paul Agnew didn’t immediately answer a request for comment.
