Bilateral trade between Bahrain in the UAE stood at $550.4 million in the first quarter, according to newly released statistics from Bahrain’s Information and e-Government Authority.
According to the statistics, the figure accounts for 33.81 percent of all bilateral trade between Bahrain and other members of the GCC in the first quarter, which collectively stood at $1.667 billion.
Trade volume with the UAE came second only to Saudi Arabia, which accounted for $819 million.
The value of total imports to Bahrain from the GCC stood at $541.4 million in Q1, of which Saudi Arabia accounted for $250.2 million and the UAE for $215.1 million.
Imports from Oman totaled $41.4 million and Kuwait $24.4 million.
The value of non-oil exports from Bahrain to the GCC stood at $1.126 billion for the quarter. Saudi Arabia, for its part, imported $569.9 million worth of goods, compared to $339.9 million imported by the UAE.
Oman imported $139.9 million, while Kuwait imported $76 million worth of goods.
