UAE e-commerce app Cartlow expands to Saudi Arabia

With overall success of over 100,000 items sold and half a million downloads since the official launch

UAE-based e-commerce app Cartlow, which sells big name products at lower prices, has launched in Saudi Arabia.

Described as a money-saving app, Cartlow offers a ‘re-commerce’ solution that offers local consumers big name products, like smartphones and tablets, to laptops, TVs, watches – at lower prices. Each of the products that Cartlow distributes is tested in-house and certified with up to one-year warranty.

Cartlow has over 1 million active users with more than 100,000 items for sale on the portal.

By taking on returned and excess goods from retailers, Cartlow says it reduces waste and carbon emissions through its recycling and reselling programme.

The launch in Saudi will offer local customers certified open-box, pre-owned, refurbished and clearance products, all covered through a comprehensive warranty.

Mohammad Sleiman, founder of Cartlow, who has previous industry experience, as co-founder and director or Helpbit (an Amazon acquired company under Souq.com), said there’s a “huge gap in the pre-owned market within Saudi”.

“We hope to build up a local customer base throughout the region and with our quality control systems in place we will continue to offer products at the best prices to our consumers,” he explained.
