Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has confirmed that private sector and non-profit organisations will observe a four-day holiday for Eid Al-Fitr this year, the Saudi Gazette reported.
The holiday will begin at the close of the working day on Saturday, Ramadan 29, which corresponds to March 29, and will continue for four days.
Employers must adhere to what has been stipulated in paragraph 2 of Article 24 of the executive regulations of the Labour Law, the ministry stressed.
Eid Al-Fitr, which marks the conclusion of the holy month of Ramadan, is one of the most significant celebrations in the Islamic calendar.
