Saudi Arabia and China signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) under which the two countries would seek to increase bilateral flight connectivity.

The pre-agreement pact also envisages the two countries exploring more avenues to step up cooperation in other areas of air transportation services.

The MoU was signed by Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Dialej, President of the Civil Aviation Authority of Saudi Arabia, and the President of Civil Aviation of China.

The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the meetings of the 41st general assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) in Montreal, Canada, from September 27 through October 7, 2022.
