The Red Sea Global has announced the establishment of a new resort in its tourist destination titled ‘Faena The Red Sea’, in partnership with one of the brands in the hotel sector, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
Located on the southern part of the Shura Island, Faena The Red Sea resort is set to open in 2024. The resort has been reportedly designed by architects Foster + Partners, which has also worked on the Red Sea International airport, among numerous other projects in the kingdom.
“We are pleased to welcome Faena (one of the most prestigious hotel brands) to the list of Red Sea resort operators,” Red Sea Global chief executive officer John Pagano said.
“This project aims to create comprehensive tourism experiences based on cultural experiences, which integrate facilities and hotels with artistic and cultural spaces, as the leisure complex is located on the coast of the Red Sea and is expected to be launched in 2024,” the SPA said.
According to a report by Globe Trender, the resort “will feature 150 suites and villas, each with their own private pool and ocean views. Executive suites will measure 84 square metres. There will also be seven villas, including six three-bedroom Presidential Pool Villas and a four-bedroom Royal Pool Villa.”
Faena The Red Sea “is characterised by providing the most spacious hotel units on the island of Shura,” the SPA said.
Additionally, the resort will see an entertainment space titled ‘The Living Room’ which will “represent the heart of the bustling resort with superior sightseeing experiences, featuring entertainment shows by some of the world’s most renowned and innovative artists, as well as culture and arts experiences,” SPA added.
