Emirati entrepreneur and founder of the Rafeeg home maintenance app, Khamis Al Sheryani, has insisted every measure possible is being taken to ensure the health and safety of staff and customers during the current coronavirus outbreak.
Al Sheryani told Arabian Business that the app has completed over 2,000 jobs so far throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, with orders from the app up 20 percent month-on-month.
He said: “We launched several features to reduce time spent in the customer house, live chat was one, allowing the customer and service provider to chat, exchange photos and videos, negotiate, and complete the deal remotely.”
Rafeeg is an app-based marketplace for home improvement needs. It allows users to search for and choose from its large network of household maintenance companies from carpenters and plumbers to electricians and landscapers. The app is designed with cost estimate features and has a 24/7 chat support.
Al Sheryani also launched a Rafeeg store to minimise the negative impact on fit-out work.
The Abu Dhabi-based app is fast expanding its reach to Dubai and other emirates and it has currently more than 10,000 customers and a strong network of over 450 verified suppliers.
