Abu Dhabi Crown Prince, Bahrain King discuss expanded cooperation in trade, investments, renewables, and security

The need for cooperation between the UAE and Bahrain private sectors in areas such as technology, energy, health, and education were discussed

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has discussed bilateral relations, trade, investments, renewable energy, and more in a meeting with Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, which took place at the Sakhir Palace in Bahrain.

The leaders discussed the long-standing relations between the UAE and the Kingdom of Bahrain and exchanged views on the latest regional and global developments.

In addition to trade and investment cooperation, the two leaders emphasised the need to expand cooperation between the private sectors of both countries across vital sectors.

The Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and the Bahrain King also stressed the need to explore opportunities to develop joint cooperation in the fields of technology, science, energy, renewable energy, environment, health, and education to meet their common aspirations and goals.

The leaders also affirmed support for joint Gulf action to confront various current challenges in order to achieve progress and prosperity for all GCC citizens.

They also underlined the importance of consolidating Arab unity and concerted efforts to achieve Arab solidarity to achieve security, stability and prosperity.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed was welcomed by King Hamad at the Sakhir Air Base Airport, in the presence of Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, a number of Sheikhs, and Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah bin Ali bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s Ambassador to the UAE.

King Hamad was also present when the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince left Bahrain after their meeting and an iftar gathering.
