Gourmets in Dubai can soon enjoy an authentic French ‘fun’ dining, with UAE’s top hospitality group Atelier House set to launch RSVP, a leading Western restaurant known for its modern French culinary concept, in the city later this month.

Atelier plans to add a new twist to RSVP, combining the elegance of the old-world French eatery traditions with an Asian flair to give it a modern feel.

Atelier’s new restaurant will be located in Dubai’s BoxPark, Al Wasl.

“The opening of RSVP will mark our foray into French cuisine,” Panchali Mahendra, managing director of Atelier House Hospitality, told Arabian Business.

Mahendra said RSVP will be part of the Group’s ambitious expansion and new launch plans for the approaching busy season for the f&b sector in the UAE.

The expansion plans of the Atelier, the leading f&b hospitality advisory and operating group in the GCC region, will include opening of its enthnic Indian fine dining restaurant Mohalla in Riyadh – its third one in the Saudi capital – and bringing few more international brands to Dubai.

“I cannot disclose the details of the new international brands as I have signed a non-disclosure agreement on them,” she said.

The RSVP launch comes on the heels of Atelier opening the chic New York City bar Tide in Dubai last week.

Atelier’s recent high-end brand launches also included opening of Morini, a high-end Italian restaurant from Manhattan, New York, in Riyadh and 11 Woodfire, with chef Akmal Anuar, in Dubai.

“We are excited about joining hands with some of the celebrity chefs to work on some novel concepts, which will be the first for the industry in the Middle East and probably in many other parts of the world,” said Mahendra, a highly admired figure in the f&b industry with a track record of opening over 55 restaurants regionally and internationally in her career so far.

Mahendra said the RSVP concept is built around the ‘joie de vivre’ – a French phrase to express an exultation of spirit – of dining, inviting guests to take their time, enjoy their meal and the company in a relaxed setting.

The venue for the new restaurant, designed by Samar Zakhemis, specialized in creating bespoke commercial spaces for top tier clients across the globe.

RSVP will indulge guests with a long list of delicacies, drawn up by Chef de Cuisine, Aadel Ouaoua, who combines traditional French techniques with his love of classic Japanese cooking, adding a Mediterranean touch.

The restaurant will also offer guests a variety of preferences – from an early morning espresso to a long lunch of shared dishes or even a late-night rendezvous, Mahendra said.

RSVP originates from the French phrase ‘répondezs’ilvousplait’, meaning please reply.

Mahendra, who has featured in the Power 50 and the Power Women list twice – in 2020 and 2021- had earlier told Arabian Business that Atelier would be looking to take its ethnic Indian restaurant brand Mohalla to New York and a few other cities in the US, besides opening it in other markets in the GCC.
