A fire has broken out in a warehouse in Dubai, on Friday evening, according to eyewitnesses. A giant cloud of smoke is seen emerging from the Umm Ramool area.
The fire reportedly started around 4:45 PM.
It is currently unclear as to the cause of the fire, but it has caused a thick black smoke to spread across the sky.
Eyewitnesses reported that emergency services were already on the scene, with fire engines spotted near the area. Police were restricting access to the blaze.
The cloud of smoke has been seen spreading in the area around Dubai Festival City Mall. Several reports were made by motorists on the Business Bay bridge.
Causes of the fire are still unknown. Several residents took to Twitter to share images and videos of the massive cloud of smoke from various areas in Dubai.
