Dubai and other emirates across the UAE have been lashed with rain, hail and stormy weather over the last few days. Authorities have taken precautionary measures and implemented various steps to ensure public safety.
A Twitter post by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) on Friday morning read, “RTA’s emergency team is dealing with the rain effects to restore smooth traffic flow.”
Road closures have also been announced on Al Asayel street, Al Maraba street and Al Kahraman street. Authorities have notified towards the use of alternative routes like First Al Khail street and Al Khail road.
Due to flooded roads and closures, RTA urges motorists to embark on journeys earlier to ensure safety.
It was also announced that on January 27 and 28, three roads will be affected between 5 PM to 12 AM, coinciding with events at the Coca-Cola Arena.
