Dubai is home to some of the most thrilling theme parks and water parks in the world including Motiongate Dubai, IMG Worlds of Adventure, Aquaventure Waterpark, Wild Wadi and Legoland.
Dubai Parks and Resorts
One of the most popular theme parks in Dubai is the Dubai Parks and Resorts. It is a massive entertainment complex that currently features three theme parks: Motiongate Dubai, Legoland Dubai, and Legoland Water Park.
Motiongate Dubai is inspired by Hollywood movies while Legoland Dubai is a spot for younger children inspired entirely by LEGO® and offers a variety of interactive rides, shows, and attractions.
Motiongate is divided into four key parts, each based on their own themes including Columbia Pictures, Smurfs Village, Lionsgate and Studio Central. Each section of the park has various rides and attractions based on the core theme.
Legoland is also divided into various sections with an array of rides and attractions across the park including the Factory, LEGO®City, Imagination, Kingdoms, Adventure and Miniland.
Legoland Water Park is also a LEGO® themed location with over 20 attractions including the Joker Soaker, a LEGO® raft builder, lazy river, splash safari and more.

IMG Worlds of Adventure
Located in Dubai is also IMG Worlds of Adventure. It is the world’s largest indoor theme park, covering an area of over 1.5 million square feet. IMG Worlds of Adventure features four themed zones: Marvel, Cartoon Network, Lost Valley, and IMG Boulevard. The park boasts several record-breaking rides, including the world’s largest indoor roller coaster and the world’s tallest drop tower.
The park also offers an exclusive VIP package for AED7350 for a maximum of five guests and includes:

- Iron Man experience in the Marvel Universe.

Wild Wadi Water Park
Located right next to the Burj Al Arab is one of Dubai’s oldest and most iconic waterparks is Wild Wadi. Themed around the tale of the famous folklore character, Juha, it is one of the most popular water parks in Dubai and features over 30 rides and attractions. Visitors can access the park’s wave pool, lazy river, and a variety of water slides.
The main attraction at the water park is the ‘Jumeirah Sceirah’ which is a 120 metre slide with a floor drop that plummets the rider at a speed of 80 km/h in a few seconds.

Atlantis Aquaventure Water Park
Atlantis Aquaventure waterpark is located at Atlantis The Palm and features zip lines, slides through shark-filled lagoons & a splash area for kids. The park has over 105 record-breaking slides, attractions and experiences and a 1 kilometre private beach.
One of the most unique attractions at the park is the Leap of Faith which is a 98-feet mega waterslide that plummets in a near-vertical fashion at a speed of 60 km/h in 3 seconds, shooting through a clear acrylic tube surrounded by sharks and cow nose rays.
The park holds a Guinness World Record for the most waterslides in a waterpark.

In the first three months of 2023 Dubai welcomed over 4.67m visitors, a staggering 17 percent increase from the same period last year, according to data published by the Department of Economy and Tourism (DET).
