The Education Excellence Awards in Dubai is set to take place on World Teachers Day, Thursday, October 5, at the Grosvenor House Dubai. The winners in the 17 award categories will be unveiled at a gala dinner.
The shortlist for these awards has been finalised by the event’s panel of judges, highlighting individual accomplishments in the education sector rather than focusing on school establishments.
Nominations for these awards were open since May, welcoming entries from all schools registered with the KHDA.

Over 100 submissions poured in from 34 different schools, ranging from foundation stage to year 13 education, underscoring the impressive quality of education within the city.
“It has been fantastic to see the quality of teaching staff and their work happening in schools across Dubai,” Nalini Cook, Head of Global Research at ISC Research and one of this year’s judges, said.

“It has been an absolute pleasure and a privilege to read the submissions for the Education Excellence Awards and to appreciate the outstanding quality and great variety of work being undertaken in UAE schools,” Debra Forsyth, CEO of British Schools in the Middle East and another judge added.
The judging panel for the Education Excellence Awards includes Fiona McKenzie, Head of Education at Carfax Education, and Liesa Grace Wilson, Editorial Director of Teach Middle East and schoolfinder.ae. Fiona McKenzie, commenting on the submissions, highlighted the innovative approaches to teaching and the creation of engaging learning experiences that reflect the high calibre of education professionals in the UAE.

This event promises to gather 200 teachers and education executives to honor and celebrate the remarkable contributions of educators in Dubai.
