Revealed: SeaWorld Abu Dhabi opening date, ticket prices

The much anticipated attraction will be opening its doors to welcome visitors in two months

Since announcing its UAE debut, SeaWorld Abu Dhabi’s opening date has finally been revealed by developer Miral. The attraction will open its doors to welcome visitors on May 23, 2023.

Tickets are now on sale on the SeaWorld Abu Dhabi website. A general admission ticket for adults costs AED375 and a junior ticket for kids below 1.1m will cost AED290.

  • Unlimited all-day access to SeaWorld, Yas Island, Abu Dhabi
  • View more than 100,000 animals and enjoy over 75 experiences and rides
  • Free parking

Located on Yas Island, the five-level marine life attraction makes up a total area of 183,000 square metres, the theme park includes themed environments, habitats, rides and immersive experiences.

The marine life park will house the most extensive and sizable multi-species aquarium in the region. Its diverse range of immersive experiences and interactive exhibits aims to entice visitors from all corners of the world to expand their understanding and admiration of marine life while simultaneously educating and inspiring them.

The park’s central “One Ocean” realm connects six separate marine environments, all of which share a common story based on the interconnectivity of life on earth and the ocean.

At the centre of the park, visitors can discover tales of the ocean through a fully immersive 360º multimedia experience that takes them on a journey from one location to the next. Along the way, they will come face to face with a variety of marine creatures, learning about the far-reaching impacts of the One Ocean current.

Through its innovative programs and its state-of-the-art facilities, SeaWorld Abu Dhabi aims to inspire the next generation of conservationists and marine life scientists while fostering a deeper appreciation for the natural world. SeaWorld Abu Dhabi’s opening will mark an exciting new chapter in Yas Island and Abu Dhabi’s ongoing efforts to promote tourism, showcase the emirate’s truly unique offerings and position it as a top global destination,” he added.

The SeaWorld research and rescue centre opened last month, located next to the theme park, spread over 8,602 square metre, the centre will be a key contributor to marine life conservation in the UAE and the wider region. Yas SeaWorld Research & Rescue will rescue sick, injured and orphaned marine animals in the Arabian Gulf and provide life-saving rehabilitation with the goal of returning healthy animals back to their natural habitats.

SeaWorld Abu Dhabi is anticipated to contain more than 58 million litres of water and be home to more than 150 species of marine animals including sharks, schools of fish, manta rays, sea turtles, reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates in addition to hundreds of birds including penguins, puffins, murres, flamingos and more.
