Abu Dhabi Police have announced a 50 percent discount on traffic fines registered before December 22, the police force said in a series of tweets.
شرطة أبوظبي تعلن تخفيض قيمة المخالفات المرورية المرتكبة في الإمارة قبل تاريخ 22 ديسمبر 2019 بنسبة 50%، مع إلغاء عقوبة حجز المركبة والنقاط السوداء وذلك لمدة 3 أشهر، لتحفيز أفراد المجتمع على الالتزام بالنظم والقوانين، وتمكينهم من تسوية أوضاعهم. pic.twitter.com/2BpjX2GmbC

In the tweet, Abu Dhabi Police said that “all black points and vehicle impoundments due before the same date shall be cancelled”.
كما أطلقت شرطة أبوظبي مبادرة الدفع المبكر للمخالفات المرورية، والتي ستبدأ تطبيقها اعتباراً من 22 ديسمبر الجاري، ويتم بموجبها تخفيض قيمة المخالفات المرورية، وقيمة بدل حجز المركبة وغرامة التأخير (إن وجدتا) بنسبة 35%، في حال السداد خلال 60 يوماً من تاريخ ارتكاب المخالفة.

The discount is valid for all traffic violations on Abu Dhabi roads on or before December 22 for a three-month period, the notice said.
In October, Sharjah Police announced a similar discount programme, in which all traffic points would be removed from October 22 to January 31.
The decision was made at a meeting of the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC).
