UAE residents: How to apply for a Morocco e-visa

With the newly introduced e-visa, visiting Morocco just became quicker and more convenient for UAE residents – here’s how you can apply

Morocco has recently introduced e-visas for UAE residents, making it easier to visit this beautiful North African country.

With its rich culture, stunning landscapes, and historic cities like Marrakesh, Morocco has become a popular travel destination.

Just in time for the nine-day Eid al-Fitr holiday, here is a step-by-step guide on how to apply for a Moroccan e-visa if you are a UAE resident.

Requirements for the Morocco e-visa

To be eligible for the Moroccan e-visa, you must have:

  • A valid UAE residence visa with at least 180 days remaining
  • A passport valid for more than 90 days
  • A passport-sized photograph
  • A confirmed hotel reservation or letter of invitation
  • A return flight ticket

You can check your eligibility by filling out the entries under the “Do I need a visa to enter Morocco” section at the top of the e-visa website’s landing page. You must provide the following information:

  • Nationality/country of citizenship
  • Country of usual residence
  • Document type (passport)
  • Purpose of trip
  • Any other valid visas (i.e. Schengen, UK, US visas, etc)

How to apply

  1. Go to the official Moroccan e-visa website and click on the “Get E-Visa” button.
  2. Verify your email address by clicking on the link sent to your email.
  3. Fill out the online application form with details like nationality, date of birth, residence, passport information, purpose of the trip, and other valid visas.
  4. List travel conditions that confirm you are traveling for the intended purpose of your visa type (i.e. tourism, business) and that you have: a return ticket, hotel reservation or invitation, sufficient funds (EUR 70 per day minimum), a valid passport, a valid residence permit of at least 180 days. You will also need to certify the accuracy of the information you provided and understand that any refused request is non-refundable.
  5. Fill out your personal information – legal name, nationality, place of birth, passport details etc.
  6. Fill out additional personal details – country of residence, residence permit, expiry date as well as your expected arrival and leaving dates to Morocco.
  7. Upload digital copies of the required documents like passport, UAE residence visa, photo, hotel reservation, and return ticket.
  8. Make the visa payment online.
  9. Track your application status using the provided tracking number.

Processing time and validity

The standard e-visa takes three working days to process and costs AED280. The fast-track e-visa takes one working day and costs AED401. The e-visa is valid for 30 days stay and is valid for 180 days from the date of issue.
