International art business Opera Gallery has opened its second store in Dubai at the Dubai Mall.

Opera’s new opening is due to the “success of its gallery at the DIFC” and confirms the gallery’s “long-term commitment to the region,” a statement by Bertrand Epaud, general manager, said.

The company has a network of galleries in cities across the world, including Paris, London, Geneva, Monaco, Miami, Seoul, Hong-Kong, New York, and Singapore.

The new Dubai Mall gallery is more than 450 sq m in size and has works from 300 artists, including European masters Picasso, Chagall and Salvador Dali.

Later this year, the art business plans to open a new branch in the Sands hotel in Singapore, as well as in Beijing, China in March 2011.
