Goodram leaves happy memories

Memory maker excited about potential for SSD products.

Memory manufacturer Goodram is embarking on its second appearance at GITEX Technology Week today following its Middle East launch at last year's show.

Following a successful debut last year, the company is now looking to further expand its regional presence.

"Our presence gives us the opportunity to meet important decision makers in the region. Our previous experience here has been excellent in terms of business development, brand awareness and recognition," says Jonathan Gadalla, director, Goodram Middle East. "Simply put, the show offers us excellent business advantages and prospects," he adds.

Gadalla is now looking to use this year's show to exploit those markets in the region that the company has yet to tap into. "Our presence at GITEX last year gave us a tremendous boost to the business. The aim for GITEX 2008 is to increase and enhance the brand awareness that has already been established and to look for further distribution partners across the region," Gadalla says.

"We still need to target markets such as Kuwait, Bahrain, Lebanon and Oman as well as the African regions. The Middle East market has become a hot-spot for business and reflects a region in a very strong growth period, which is very unlike stagnant markets such as Europe and the US."

Goodram's products include the latest memory technologies for the PC and notebook market, DDR 3 technology and a newly developed range of USBs that will be launched specifically for GITEX.

"We have also been working closely with major technology developers on the latest SSDs (solid state drives). These will be a major revolution and will compete with the hard disk drive market in the near future," predicts Gadalla.
