Software development and outsource specialist to set up lab for Web 2.0 and mobile applications
Grafdom has announced plans to set up a research and development lab in Dubai, to develop web 2.0 applications and other technologies.
The software development and outsourcing provider says that the new lab will focus on new technologies, particularly web 2.0 and mobile applications. Grafdom also plans to collaborate with academics and other technology organizations on joint projects.
Farid Gasim, Middle East director of operations for Grafdom, commented: “A globally positioned R&D network will enable Grafdom to access diverse talents and collaborate to develop revolutionary technologies for its customers. The Middle East’s high growth, emerging economic opportunities and depth of technology talent make it an ideal location to expand.”
“It’s important for Grafdom to be a part of the UAE’s growing economy and contribute with its technological expertise to the development of cutting-edge applications and user-empowering solutions,” he added.
The company says it has already begun recruitment of technical personnel in specific fields, and will have up to 40 dedicated staff at the lab. The facility is due to open by end of the second quarter.
