Grinaker’s mine job

Grinaker-LTA has been selected as the preferred contractor for the proposed Mmamabula coal mine underground operation in Botswana

Grinaker-LTA has been selected as the preferred contractor for the proposed Mmamabula coal mine underground operation in Botswana.

The proposed coal mine is part of the multi million dollar Mmamabula energy project, which will comprise an integrated coal mine and mine-mouth power station.

The development of the mine will require an initial investment of about US $322 million (SAR 2,3-billion).

The power station will be built in two phases, each with a generating capacity of between 2,100 MW and 2,400 MW.

At 2,400 MW, each phase of the power station will consume about 8,5-million tons a year of coal.
