Emirates, Air Arabia, Qatar Airways and Etihad launch sales ahead of Eid holiday later in September

Gulf airlines slash fares ahead of Eid Al Adha

Gulf airlines have cut prices by up to 30 percent to attract last-minute Eid holidaymakers.

Official holiday dates are yet to be announced in the UAE, but Saudi Arabia declared on Monday that the first day of Eid Al Adha will be Thursday September 24.

Sharjah-based Air Arabia is offering the largest discount – a special 33 percent sale on one-way fares from the UAE to 43 of its destinations.

The fares are all-inclusive and must be booked by the end of today for travel between September 24 and October 4.

Destinations include Alexandria, Cairo, Hyderabad and Nairobi.

Etihad Airways is offering special fares for destinations including Colombo, Los Angeles and Hong Kong until September 17 for travel until December 10.

Emirates Airline is offering special fares until September 17, for travel between September 3 and December 10, to several of its destinations.

And Qatar Airways is also offering deals on several destinations including Bangkok, Paris and Montreal. Travellers must book by September 17 for travel between September 25 2015 and May 31 2016.
