NMC Health, the UAE-based private healthcare operator with international services across 13 countries, has posted a 38.2 percent jump in net profit for 2017.
The company reported that revenues increased by 31.3 percent to $1.6 billion while net profit exceeded $209 million.
It added in a statement that the company's healthcare division treated a total of 5.8 million patients during 2017, up by 33.5 percent.
Revenue per patient from healthcare services also increased by 7.6 percent to reach $189 while hospital bed occupancy rates reached 71.6 percent.
Operational beds doubled from 679 beds to 1,365 beds while the number of doctors employed reached 1,437.
Prasanth Manghat, CEO, said: "2017 proved to be a year of tremendous achievements for NMC, enhancing further the successful track record already achieved by the group in previous years. In short, we see 2017 as setting the stage for many more years of growth for the company and we begin 2018 with confidence."
