Saudi Arabian confirmed four new cases of coronavirus on Sunday, taking the total number of people diagnosed in the kingdom to 11.
According to a report by the Saudi Press Agency, the health ministry revealed that three female citizens, of the four cases, resulted in contact with previously announced cases and came from Iran, while the fourth is a man who returned from Iran via the UAE but did not alert authorities at the port about his travel plans.
A statement said: “The Ministry of Health assures everyone that the cases are currently isolated, being dealt with and providing the health service in accordance with the approved health procedures, and that all cases are people from Qatif Governorate.”
The Ministry of Health has called on travellers coming from Italy, South Korea, Egypt, and Lebanon to isolate themselves at home for a period of two weeks from the date of their return.
