Ministry of Health on Friday says new cases of virus, known as Covid 19, takes the kingdom's total to 62
Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health on Friday reported 17 new cases of the new coronavirus, known as Covid 19, taking the kingdom's total to 62.
The ministry said in comments published by the Saudi Press Agency that one of the infected citizens had been in contact with a previously reported case and is being quarantined in a health facility in Riyadh.
An expatriate coming from Portugal via Turkey, a citizen returning from Iran via Oman, and a citizen coming from Turkey via Lebanon are also being quarantined.
The ministry indicated that other new cases involve two Saudi women returning from Iraq and 11 Egyptians, who are in quarantine in Makkah.
Elsewhere in the Gulf region, Bahrain has 197 cases, the UAE 85, Kuwait 80 and Oman 18.
