Total number of cases in the kingdom has reached 2,039
Saudi Arabia has reported 154 new coronavirus cases, while the death toll in the kingdom has reached 25.
According to a report by the Saudi Press Agency, three of the cases came from individuals traveling who have been in quarantine since their arrival into the kingdom. The remaining 151 cases were a result of contact with previously confirmed cases.
It brings the total number of confirmed cases in Saudi Arabia to 2,039, including 1,663 active cases described as being in a “stable condition”, with 41 receiving intensive care.
Twenty three people were announced as being cured of Covid-19 on Friday, taking the total number of cured cases to 351.
Meanwhile the general directorate of passports has said resident identity cards for expats working in the private sector’s commercial and industrial professions, which expire between March 18 and June 30, will be extended free of charge.
The extension is for a period of three months.
