Total number of cases in the kingdom has reached 2,402
Five people in Saudi Arabia died from the Covid-19 virus on Sunday as a further 223 people tested positive for coronavirus.
The death toll in the kingdom currently stands at 34, while the total number of confirmed cases has hit 2,402.
According to the Ministry of Health, 47 percent of the confirmed cases are Saudi patients, and 53 percent are non-citizens. Some 488 patients have been cured.
The ministry has reiterated calls to restrict movement unless absolutely necessary and adhere to preventative guidelines, such as avoiding shaking hands, constantly washing hands and avoiding gatherings.
Meanwhile, the Foreign Ministry has launched of an electronic service for citizens wishing to return to Saudi Arabia. The e-service can be used for the next five days.
Priority will be given to Saudi citizens in countries mostly affected by coronavirus, the elderly and pregnant women. Those returning will be subject to quarantine for 14 days.
