Saudi Arabia recently extended its nationwide curfew indefinitely and ordered a 24-hour lockdown in Riyadh, Tabuk, Dammam, Dhahran and Hofuf and right across the governorates of Jeddah, Taif, Qatif, and Al-Khobar.

Saudi Arabia announced six people have died and 472 new cases of coronavirus in its latest update.

Two of those who passed away, two were Saudi nationals, aged 51 and 95, while the other four were expats aged between 42 and 67.

A total of 65 people have died as a result of the coronavirus in the kingdom, while the latest announcement takes the overall number of Covid-19 cases in the kingdom to 4,934. The number of those who have recovered from the virus is 805.

The health ministry said most cases in Saudi Arabia have been in labour worker communities and other densely-populated residential areas.
