Coronavirus: Four more deaths reported in UAE, 479 new cases

More than 23,000 additional Covid-19 tests have been carried out among UAE citizens and residents over the past few days.

Four more people have died in the UAE at the hands of coronavirus, taking the death toll in the country to 41.

According to latest figures from the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), there have been an additional 479 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the country, with the total number of infections now standing at 6,781.

The ministry revealed that the deaths – a Gulf citizen and three Asians – had all previously suffered from illnesses.

It was also announced that 98 more people had recovered from the virus, making it 1,286 who are rid of the deadly infection.

The new cases, all of whom are in a stable condition and receiving the necessary care, were detected after conducting more than 23,000 additional Covid-19 tests among UAE citizens and residents over the past few days.
